Our Mission:
As a Christian housing ministry, GLHFH in Lynchburg, Virginia will provide low-income families with opportunities and tools to be successful homeowners.
About Lynchburg Habitat for Humanity:
GLHFH is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International and was established in Lynchburg, Virginia in 1988. Habitat for Humanity is an ecumenical Christian ministry that builds high-quality, decent, affordable housing in partnership with God’s people in need.
Over the last twenty years, GLHFH has built 277 new homes, housing over 377 adults and 558 children. The process of building homes for qualified families continues through the generosity of the Lynchburg business community, houses of faith, and individual contributors. The goal of Habitat for Humanity is not just building houses, but building lives and communities one home at a time.

We at GLHFH have a small, dedicated staff that perform key functions; however, we could not have been nearly as successful as we have been without the continued commitment of our volunteers. Some of the volunteer support activities include the following:
Serving on the Board
Serving on Committees
Participating with our construction crew (Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday)
Administrative support
Encouraging your company or congregation to support GLHFH
Providing food and refreshment to special work crews
