GLHFH is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International and was established in Lynchburg, Virginia in 1988. Habitat for Humanity is an ecumenical Christian ministry that builds good-quality, affordable housing in partnership with qualifying low-income families.
Over the last twenty-five years, GLHFH has built and sold 282 new homes, housing 382 adults and 563 children. Our mission is enabled by the generosity of Lynchburg's faith and business communities and individual supporters. Our goal is to eliminate substandard living conditions for Lynchburg families.

Greater Lynchburg Habitat for Humanity (GLHFH), which is celebrating its 25th anniversary, is partnering with the Lynchburg Rotary Club (celebrating 100 years) and Genworth (celebrating 10 years). So our current build is appropriately named "The Anniversary Build."
Because of the generosity of the Lynchburg Rotary Club and Genworth, the Kimberly Jiggetts family will enjoy their new home currently being constructed at 1712 Monroe Street. this beautiful two-story three-bedroom home will be a lovely addition to this historic neighborhood. The Jiggetts are expected to close on their new home in mid-November.
THE JOSEPHINE HOUSE
The construction of a lovely two-story three bedroom home has begun at 1706 Grace Street. This historic neighborhood, conveniently located near Highway 29, is the perfect place for Nina Ford to raise her kids. They should be able to close on their new home in February 2015.
